Justice League, Part Six / The Beginning / Pandora
While the heroes battled Darkseid, Batman was on Apokolips and overheard Desaad and Steppenwolf talk about converting Superman into a new breed of soldier, vital in the search for the daughter of Darkseid. Wonder Woman jammed her sword into one eye of Darkseid, while Aquaman got his trident in the other eye. Cyborg managed to connect to the Mother Boxes, and activated them. Batman got Superman to his feet, who then flew through a boom tube and attacked Darkseid. While they put on an intense battle, the other heroes joined in. Batman came through the boom tube and told Cyborg to shut down the boom tubes. With a great struggle he did, which made Darkseid and all of the parademons simply vanish. With the Mother Boxes all fried, they wouldnèt be able to return soon. After saving the world, the heroes were given many acolades and treated like heroes, but the heroes felt unsure about how to take this. They were unsure if they were a one-time thing, or a true team. The Beginning - in London, one stranger approached another in the night. One mentioned the appearances of super heroes showing up daily. The other said that they would just have to call themselves super villains. His cuff link had a skull shape on it. Pandora - A man lay dead on the ground in the rain. Pandora approached the man and was stopped by The Phantom Stranger. When the Stranger asked Pandora for her box, she pulled out gun-like weapons and shot him. The shot did not kill him, only slowed him down. She said if he tried to stop her, she would tell the world his name, giving him more enemies than she does. She would still seek to be released from her curse, but only after she can find and imprison The Strange, and would need the help of the Justice League.
