Description
If The Eyes Destroy Me!
Ghost Rider leads the police in a high-speed chase across most of Michigan before leaving them behind with a mocking wave, and convincing Johnny he needs to find a way out of his "deal" before the Rider takes over completely. Elsewhere, an armored car runs into trouble when criminals stop it, blast it open, and steal two million dollars! These criminals are led by a man whose head looks like a large human eye - the Orb! Johnny, low on money, manages to get himself hired by the Quentin Carnival, displacing Red Fowler and attracting the interest of freelance writer Cynthia Randolph. Meanwhile, Orb has used the money from his robbery to purchase advanced weaponry from Madame Menace. Sometime later, two thugs steal the carnival receipts; the Orb saw Blaze's picture on a carny flyer and set a trap! With his new laser helmet, Orb blasts a deep hole. Johnny falls in, and Ghost Rider emerges! He's too skillful a rider for Orb's new laser, but his eye missiles track and hit Ghost Rider. In searing pain, the Rider collapses! But mere fire cannot long stop a field from Hell; the rider staggers back to his feet, and the Orb flees! Alas for him, the Rider is faster. He leaves the Orb and his mean, souls seared and bikes ruined, in the desert twenty miles from anywhere. Mockingly, he invites any survivors to look him up...
