Almost a year after the conclusion of Infinite Crisis, the planet has just survived World War III, and a collective sense of relief can be felt. As the superheroic community gathers at Superman's memorial to remember Conner Kent, who gave his life a year ago to save all of reality from Superboy Prime, the heroes stranded in space have finally made their ways home. But everyone is unaware that a new crisis is even now building to a climax, as Skeets continues his cross-time pursuit of Booster Gold and Rip Hunter. But even with the skill of Rip Hunter, they aren't able to stop Skeets in time. In desperation, Rip Hunter drags Booster into his Time Sphere, to take him back where it all started.
