Having traveled to the Gates of Shadow to seek people missing from a nearby town, Aquaman finds himself and his companions ensnared by the new Fisherman. But the Fisherman himself is lost and confused, as he tries to sort through the memories of his current host as well as the memories of the organism that truly is the Fisherman, attached to his head. He tries to recall his purpose and mission. Arthur must free himself now, not only to save the villagers he came to rescue, but to save himself and his friends.
