World of New Krypton, Part Three
Despite the idyllic appearance, New Krypton has it's faults. The Labor Guild, now infused by the same solar radiation as all other kryptonians, no longer require food or rest... so the other guilds expect them to work without cease. Having had more than enough with the situation, Tam-Or leads several other members of the Labor Guild, taking Alura hostage. Commander Gor has already taken a group of laborers hostage, declaring that he will execute them unless Tam-Or surrenders immediately. In an attempt to defuse the stand-off, Kal uses the red-sun emitters on their weapons to depower himself in an attempt to negotiate. He prevails upon Zod to give him thirty minutes to resolve the situation peacefully. But his actions, while winning him respect with Zod and Alura, are making him enemies among the Military Guild.
