Danny Rand, the Iron Fist once sought to bring the Heavenly City of K'un Lun permanently into our world. While he was persuaded of the wrongness of this action, Junzo Muto who has stolen the power of the Iron Fist from Danny seeks to bring Danny's plan to fruition. Leading the Hand, he plans to conquer K'un Lun and use it as a base from which to conquer the world. But Muto's plan has one problem. The magics required are linked directly to Danny Rand, not the power of the Iron Fist. In order to lure Rand to Tokyo, the Hand kidnaps his girlfriend Misty Knight.
