On Karna, Tempest has devised a plan. He claims the Tamaranians have invaded to prove that they are warriors, to impress the Gordanians. Having lost their own planet, the Tamaranians need a place to live and the Gordanians can offer one. In return, the Tamaranians will offer their reputations with the larger galaxy to combat the terrible reputation the Gordanians possess as slavers and thugs. They will not accept Ryand'r as liaison, however - so Koriand'r agrees to remain. In the desert, Arsenal takes Damage to the Navaho who years ago helped him, and they accept him as a guest while he works out his psychological problems. Nightwing visits Jesse Quick, not to ask her to return (that offer is always open) but seeking her help as a businesswoman. He wants a Russian team to help him clone Vic's cells into a new body.
