Bad Night, Part One
Jacob, the creator of Frank Kafka P.I., hasn't slept well in years. He spends his nights in bookstores and truck stops. One night, some of his fellow patrons act out violently. He leaves the truck stop, and picks up the woman involved in the disturbance. She passes out in his car before he gets her to his place, and they spend quite a night together. The next day, he starts to realize how big a mistake that was.
