She had used two magical brands on both Arion and Etrigan, so they are still under Morgaine's control, and take Wonder Woman and Phantom Stranger captive. Attempting to suck the life force out of her immortal captives to return to her youth and beauty, Morgaine was unaware that Diana gave up her immortality, and crumbles into dust.
