Captain America's anti-registration forces are dealt a punishing blow as Thor has apparently joined Iron Man's forces. They are only saved by the intervention of Susan Richards, who throws up a force field to protect them from Thor's lightning after the thunder god killed Goliath in battle.Heroes are leaving both sides after the battle. Some don't have the heart to continue fighting other heroes, while others feel that perhaps they aren't on the right side of the conflict.
