New Krypton has it's first murder, and it's first mystery. Councillor Mar-Li was killed in his own chambers, with the door sealed from the inside. Within the chamber, standing over the body General El and Red Shard discover Adam Strange of New Rann. While suspicion quickly falls on him, Kal-El is able to convince the Council to let him go free if he assists in getting to the heart of this mystery. As Adam and Kal-El investigate, the clues begin to point towards the Labor Guild. Despite their peaceful surrender during the confrontation earlier, the lot of the Labor Guild has not improved. They still have no voice in the government, and now a strange illness is afflicting them. The situation on New Krypton is about to boil over into a riot.
