Marianne warns Tony that her E.S.P. abilities have predicted his death at the hands of an otherworldly being. He is then called to Avengers mansion to defeat the Adaptoid, who has returned to face Captain America. Iron Man does defeat the Adaptoid, but it costs him almost all of his power reserves. He returns from battle, asking for Marianne's help to get his suit recharged before his last 90 seconds of power give out. She starts to, but they are interrupted by the figure from her vision. Marianne charges against this figure, trying to keep him from reaching and killing Tony, but that leaves Tony stranded on the floor with only 60 seconds of power left.
