The Watcher spins a tale of what might have happened had Drax and Moondragon been unable to free Galactus from Annihilus' grasp. Harried by Nova, and the former heralds of Galactus, the first scouts of the Annihilation Wave reach Earth during the final battle of the Civil War. Just as Captain America is about to surrender, one of the waves ships crashes to earth, changing everything.
