Aquaman and Mera return to the League's headquarters to find the team missing and a map showing their location. In Canada, bound and gagged and buried in a hole by Amazo, Vixen manages to escape her bonds and begin digging a way out. At the same time, J'onn J'onnz and Dale Gunn have flown North to the arctic and Superman's Fortress of Solitude which J'onnz opens. Vixen escapes from the prison and frees her team mates just as Aquaman and Mera arrive. J'onnz and Gunn discover that Amazo broke loose by a stroke of luck - a meteor crashed into the Fortress and broke the case the android was in, allowing him to escape and find the drunk whose mind he has absorbed. Meanwhile, the team discover Amazo and attack him, J'onnz using his shape changing ability to confuse the android and allow Aquaman to disable him. Steel's grandfather, meanwhile, decides to take back the headquarters he had loaned the League, becoming once again Commander Steel. The story continues in Infinity Inc Vol 1 #19
