Hold Box: How It Works

Want to save on shipping? Our Hold Box service allows you to purchase items as they drop and "hold" them at our shop. We’ll keep your books safe until you’re ready to have them all shipped together in one box.

Step 1: Start Your Hold

When checking out, simply select the shipping method:

"*** HOLD - DO NOT SHIP ***"

This tells our team to pull your books and set them aside in your personal hold box instead of mailing them immediately.

Step 2: Build Your Collection

You can place as many orders as you like over days, weeks, or even months! Every time you choose the HOLD option, we’ll add those new items to your stash. This is perfect for grabbing limited variants or weekly releases without paying for shipping every single time.

Step 3: Ship When You're Ready

When you're ready to receive your items, open your Cart and find the Manage Your Holds Box section.

  1. Click the "Ship My Hold Items Now" button.
  2. The system will automatically add the correct shipping item to your cart, matching the quantity of items currently in your box.
  3. Complete the checkout, and we will pack and ship your entire collection!
Note on Quantities: The "Ship My Hold" item quantity in your cart reflects the total number of items in your hold box we need to pack for you. This ensures your shipping rate is accurately calculated based on the size of your specific box.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why are there two different "Ship My Hold" items?
    Our system automatically selects a different shipping profile depending on whether you are only shipping your held items or if you are adding new items to the same shipment. This ensures you always get the most accurate shipping rate available.

  • Can I use my Loyalty Points for shipping?
    Yes! When you are checking out with the "Ship My Hold" item, you can apply your earned loyalty points to cover the cost of the shipment.

  • What about Preorders?
    If you order a preorder item on "Hold," we will put it in your box the moment it arrives at our shop. Please note that the "Ship My Hold" button only counts items currently in-stock and ready to move.

  • Can I switch to Local Pickup?
    Absolutely. If you decide you'd rather swing by 88 Cawthra Ave to grab your holds, just send us an email and we’ll have them ready for you during our regular hours.
