In the wake of her battle with Pharyngula, Billy summons Mary Marvel to the Rock of Eternity. Unaware that she had even lost her powers, much less of how she regained them, he confronts her about the brutal nature of her attack on the demon. The rejected Forerunner is approached by Monarch, who believes she has a special place in his plans. The Pied Piper and Trickster deal with the fallout of the death of the Flash. Certain that the Justice League would show no mercy to any rogues, even if they did not actively participate in the Flash's death, the pair resolve to go deep underground, having only each other to rely upon.
