The team deflects the Surfer into the East River, but are forced to give control of the operation over to S.H.I.E.L.D. The Silver Surfer is recovered from the river and placed in restraints. When he awakens, he breaks the restraints with ease before announcing that he must build a beacon for his master to trace.
