Description
Three, Part Four: World-Eater!
Underneath the ocean, as the fallout from Namor's actions last issue is revealed, Susan Storm was used by Namor to get to the Old Atlanteans. This allowed him time to mobilize his army who are now bearing down upon their home. Sue uses all of her power and concentration to put up a force field around the complex to stem the slaughter. Beyond the Kuiper Belt, Reed Richards awaits aboard Galactus's ship for the Silver Surfer to return with Ted and Alyssa Castle, the creators of Nu-World. Galactus is seeking answers as well as a way to alter the future after Silver Surfer found the discarded remains of a future version of Galactus used by the people of Nu-World to travel back in time away from their dying Earth. Back at the Baxter Building, insect beings infiltrate the building in an attempt to capture the Negative Zone. A depowered Ben Grimm fights with the insects while Johnny goes to protect the children. Alex uses his powers to kill the invading insects while Johnny and Ben find out that the insects have laid eggs in the building. Back at Nu-World, Reed and Galactus discuss whether or not Reed can fix things in the present to prevent the death of Galactus 500 years into the future. Galactus decides to give Reed a chance but also desires to devour Nu-World. Reed pleads with the god-like villain to let him have a chance at saving some of the people on the planet. Galactus allows for Reed to go but will not stop his hunger for him to do so. Back underneath the Gulf of Thailand, Susan has the guards bring her Namor as she continues to focus on shielding the Old Atlanteans from attack. Namor tells her the history of these creatures and that they plan to kill her as well as his people. At the Baxter building, Ben, Johnny, and the rest of the kids continue to fight the insects when a whole host of the creatures break in outnumbering them.
