1st Wasp
"The Creature from Kosmos!" / "Blueprint for Victory" / "Hunted"
Ant-Man thinks back to his origins, in which he became a hero after his wife was murdered. Lamenting the loss, but feeling the need for a partner in case he should ever fail, he finds himself with quite a problem. The solution appears when a fellow scientist drops by unannounced, bringing his daughter Janet van Dyne with him. When Janet's father is later killed by a creature from outer space, she seeks justice and vengeance. Hank Pym reveals his dual identity, and takes her on as a partner, after implanting specialized cells from a wasp that grow into wings and antennae when she shrinks. The two manage to team up to defeat the alien murderer, and Janet sticks around, hoping to win Pym's heart from him.
