Description
More or Less...The Return of the Molecule Man!
Stark is brought down to Citrusville to assess a project designed to restore Omegaville. This is in the Florida swamplands, very near the spot where Man-Thing and Fantastic Four's Thing previously defeated Molecule Man, and also where the Glob first appeared. This compilation of coincidence proves dangerous, when a boy playing with the Molecule Man's wand loses it, and one of his friends goes after it. She recovers the wand, but angers a crocodile in the process. Her fear draws the Man-Thing out, who defeats the croc, but the terrified girl flees into the swamp, where she and the Molecule Man's wand become submerged in the same radioactive pit that spawned the Glob. Resurfacing as a combined individual, the girl and the Molecule Man restart the Molecule Man's reign of terror. Iron Man tries to stop him, but isn't powerful enough to slow him down. The girl is a big fan of Iron Man, however, and she starts an internal struggle with the Molecule Man for control of their shared body. This conflict eventually allows Iron Man to strip her of the wand, separating her from the Molecule Man, and undoing the damage they had done while combined. This leads to Iron Man's possession of the wand, and he begins his own internal struggle against the Molecule Man. This lasts until Man-Thing arrives and takes the wand himself. Without a mind to inhabit, the Molecule Man is powerless to take over the Man-Thing, and the threat is ended.
