Brightest Day - Carpe Diem
The Blackest Night has receded and has been replaced with the dawning of the Brightest Day. Twelve heroes and villains have been given another chance at life - reborn by the power of the White Lantern. Of those, Boston Brand is the only one who has a White Lantern ring. Brand - known as Deadman - was a circus aerialist before he was murdered in the middle of his act. He endured beyond death as a disembodied spirit, only able to influence the world by possessing the bodies of others. Alive again, he's now pulled by the White Ring briefly into the lives of all of the others who were returned from death. Throughout his journey, he hears a voice crying out to him from the ring, pleading for his help.
