Beast Boys and Girls, Part Two: Wild Life
There are green animals all over San Francisco - every kid under thirteen has been infected with sakuta, a deadly disease that was the basis of Gar Logan's power to change to animal forms. A power he no longer has, but that doesn't prevent parents from demanding the Titans turn him over. They're certain he infected their children. The hospital has contacted Samuel Register, a doctor who worked with Gar Logan's parents and has studied sakuta his entire life. Gar just wants someone to help the transformed children. Register shoots Gar with a tranquilizer, and then reveals that HE is the carrier who has infected the children, tearing away his synthetic face to reveal a blue and scaly one beneath it! Also: Superboy visits Tim Drake (figuring out who he is with super hearing) after having discovered that Batman has taken on a new Robin. Tim has given up the superhero life; his father discovered his costume and got upset, and he was already tired of lying to the man, so the decision was easy.
