Karate Kid, Una and Buddy Blank arrive in Bludhaven as, from Apokolips, Darkseid watches everything. On Earth-8, the Challengers from Beyond battle Monarch, Lord Havok and the Crime Society from Earth-3 until Red Hood apparently guts Barracuda. He then accepts Monarch's offer to join him. In Metropolis, Jimmy Olsen agrees to help Forager who transports him away in a Boom Tube. In the Oblivion Bar, Shadowpact attempt to restrain Mary Marvel and Eclipso but before they can do so, Eclipso teleports the pair of them away. On Themyscira, Holly Robinson and her friends are forced to train. Having stowed away on a Suicide Squad transport, Piper and Trickster find Harvey Dent in a holding facility who tells them what's been happening with all the villains: that Checkmate has been kidnapping them and transporting them elsewhere. In order to impress Monarch that he's telling the truth, Red Hood steals Bob the Monitor's pistol and shoots Donna.
