Mr. Miracle visits Firestorm in order to warn him that war is coming and he, Firestorm, will play an important part in it due to his unknowingly containing a part of the Anti-Life Equation. Orion arrives in typical bombastic style and attacks Firestorm, planning to return with him to New Genesis. Once Firestorm and Mr Miracle calm Orion down, he tells them that the Anti-Life Equation is split between four Earth elementals, Firestorm being one of them. Before they can return to New Genesis, the Female Furies arrive and capture Firestorm, prompting Gehenna to arrive with Firehawk.
