The Origin Of The Red Tornado, The Secret Of Genesis / All-Star Squadron
Having overheard T O Morrow's explanation of Red Tornado's origin, Aquaman attacks but is knocked unconcious before Morrow and Tornado escape. The League, unable to find Tornado, discover Aquaman frozen and rush to help him. Morrow in attempting to discover what makes Tornado unique, analyses him using a computer from the future but is overwhelmed by something. Aboard the JLA satellite, Aquaman is freed from the frozen casing and reveals Morrow's plan to dismantle Tornado. The League waste no time in finding him, demanding to know what has happened to the now missing Tornado. When Morrow attacks them, he is in turn attacked by a giant, humanoid tornado that the League identify as the Tornado Tyrant. The Tyrant then attacks the League, defeating all except Firestorm who is contacted by the Tornado Champion, an aspect of the Tyrant that had become good. The Champion explains that he emulated the League and had previously travelled to Earth-Two when Morrow had first created the Red Tornado, taking advantage of the android and merging with him. Both the Champion and the Tyrant had been released when Morrow had used the futuristic computer to analyse the android and the only way to defeat the Tyrant was to merge the two beings once more in Red Tornado. Firestorm merges the two tornados resulting in Red Tornado returning to life.
