Family Crisis, Family Crisis, pt 1
A mysterious narrator watches as members of the League leave the JLA satellite to intercept the Martian Manhunter as he heads for New York (see Justice League of America #228) before Superman, Wonder Woman, Supergirl and the Flash arrive. As the narrator plans to attack them, three civilians appear and, in spite of the League's questions, quickly transport them to Earth-Two. There they find the Justice Society under attack and help them defeat the enemies before the image of a bearded man appears, demanding they surrender. The three civilians tell them that the man is Prof Champion, the father of the two teenagers and has somehow been taken over by another force, Using the powers granted to them by their father, they are able to transfer some of the League and Soiety members to another dimension while on Earth-Two, the remaining heroes defend the Pentagon from an attack. The heroes discover the narrator - the Commander - has used Prof Champion to control the beings attacking the Pentago and manage to remove Champion's unconcious body and head back to Earth-Two, unaware that the Commander has taken control of them.
